1 Information
The basic information about various cheat methods for the single-player part of the game will be covered here.
2 Overview
Microsoft Urban Assault does not have any cheats or cheat-codes in a conventional sense.
However, some parts of the single-player game are designed to be easily accessible which allows quick and simple modification of various data parameter values within the individual save profile, which can practically serve as cheat codes with extra layers of control and freedom granted for the player to implement various changes into the game.
This page will cover a few methods and elements that could be classified under this category. Some knowledge of the game may be required to easily locate the necessary information in the corresponding text files.
3 Disclaimer
Using any of the cheat methods described in this article can dramatically reduce the challenge and fun of the game, especially if it is the first time playthrough! Therefore, it is highly advised to cheat only after finishing all single-player campaigns at least once.
Also, please make sure to create backup of any corresponding game data files being changed before modifying their contents and properties!
4 Methods
4.1 The 'Cheat' data set from the developers
In the Beta 2 version copy of Urban Assault game disc, there is a folder which contains cheat data for single-player games under the 'Cheats' folder.
This cheat data was originally included by the developers in the Beta disc in the case of the beta testers finding the game too difficult, and provides somewhat authentic way of playing a cheat mode of the game.

4.2 'Easy Level' Scripts
The Easy Level data script a set of the modified version of the original campaign level definition files, which employ heavily modified versions of the units in the main campaign. In this mode, all player's vehicles possess substantially higher shielding, whereas the shielding of the enemy vehicles are greatly decreased.
The Easy Level script was included as a part of the final retail version of Urban Assault game disc, and can be found under the 'Goodies' folder inside the game CD folder. It is primarily intended for new players who find the game to be too difficult at the first try.
These scripts are not necessarily a 'cheat' per se, but it is worth mentioning due to the huge changes made into the gameplay. The detailed instructions of applying the Easy Level scripts are covered in the official game Readme file:

4.3 Modifying the save game parameters
Many easily accessible parameters that are responsible for controlling the in-game environments of a save profile are directly stored and updated in the 'user.txt' file that is located inside each user save profile folder.

4.4 Enabling the secret/hidden debug (cheat) unit: Evilfurz
Evilfurz is a secret/hidden unit that was created by the developers to facilitate debugging process in levels. The unit data for Evilfurz still remains in the retail version of the game, so it is possible to enable it with a little data tweak.

5 The 'SWEAPON' Cheat Rumour
On several online video game websites, there is an unfounded statement which claims that if the player presses all 'SWEAPON' keyboard buttons simultaneously during the gameplay, it will unlock the secret cheat unit Evilfurz for the player. However, performing this action does not have any effect in the game. Which had puzzled many players for a long time who believed the information to be true without any evidence.
Eventually, this 'SWEAPON' cheat had been confirmed to be a baseless rumour since the reverse engineering into the game's engine had demonstrated that there is no such a hidden cheat function built into the game in the first place.
The 'SWEAPON' cheat is a false rumour of an unknown origin, and does NOT exist in Urban Assault.
