The last conference took place in Mainz (near Frankfurt) in 2019. But since I already mentioned it on Discord before, the content here will be about Jeûne genevois.

Jeûne genevois is an official holiday in the canton of Genève, Switzerland. This is one of the annually recurring holidays where the entire CERN complex is closed to visitors, who are usually looking for an individual guided tour. But many internal departments operate more or less identical to the normal routines, maybe except a minor shift in working hours of some facilities.

The abovementioned conference is still ongoing and will last until tomorrow. On a side note, I haven't visited the city of Genève for a while. It is quite convenient to reach there via transport directly connecting between the 'Globe' (also known as 'Palais de l’Equilibre') zone and various locations in the urban area. I'm looking forward to pay a visit there and have some free time.
