Information
Welcome to the Mykonian forum. This is a faction-specific forum for the Mykonian faction in Microsoft Urban Assault. Feel free to discuss various topics about Mykonian here.
Faction Overview
The Mykonian is a faction in Microsoft Urban Assault.
The Mykonian is an extraterrestrial, imperialistic invader group who disdain humanity for damaging a precious planet. They view Earth as a battery and implant the Parasite Machine to harvest energy from the Earth's core. All Mykonian vehicles are ionocraft armed with ion cannons, and polygonal shapes are the result of their bio-vein construction, which forms in crystalline symmetry in zero-gravity space. The Mykonians are typically located in Northern Europe and Scandinavia, where the optimal cooling temperatures and assimilated environments facilitate their superconductive machine operations.

Vehicles & Buildings
Mykonians
An off-world species, the Mykonians are tapping into the very core of our planet with their devastating Parasite Machine, extracting energy to power their attacks. Their weapons technology is more advanced than ours.
It is interesting to note that all Mykonian vehicles are symmetrical polygons in shape. This is the result of their biovein contruction, which forms in crystalline symmetry in zero-gravity space. The Mykonians are a much more powerful race than your other terran foes and possesses technology unknown to humans. So do not be seduced by their awesome sight. Diplomacy has failed. They want our planet.
Vehicles
Myko Station
Not much is known about the Mykonian host station, except that it somehow facilitates the spread of the alien biovein cabling that renders once inhabiltable cities incapable of sustaining life. The overall Mykonian host station surface area is large. Beware its multiple defense ion cannons.
Myko 5P0 Air Prism
This frightful metallic air unit, like all Mykonian weapons, fires a blue energy bolt and has extensive energy reserves. The 5P0 is impressive to watch firsthand, and troops first seeing it are often mesmerized by its shape, spinning movement, and lack of apparent propulsion. The 5P0 has moderate speed, and so is somewhat hard to hit with heavy weapons. Combat veterans report that it can take maybe three hits from a heavy weapon. It behaves most like a fast-turning helicopter. The 5P0 is the first Mykonian unit encountered during the campaign.
Myko XO1 Quadda
This tough air unit, sometimes called the Brick, is very powerful against host stations. When experienced commanders see XO1s, especially in groups, they devote all of their efforts to taking them out. While having only moderate shielding, the XO1 has a large energy reservoir for its shields to let it get through tough defenses, all the while blasting its target. The XO1 is first encountered early in the campaign and most closely resembles a slow plane in its flight characteristics.
Myko Static
Almost like a mobile flak station, the Myko Static is a very strange unit in its function and movement. The Myko Static can best be described as a plane with very slow horizontal air speed but fast vertical travel. It fires a triple ion blast, similar to a Mykonian flak station.
Myko Ground Cube
This cubical ground-based vehicle skates along the surface, taking energy directly from Earth. The Ground Cube, also known as the Myko Leicht, is the Mykonian version of an all-terrain vehicle. Fortunately it is lightly armed, as it is often deployed in groups. The Ground Cube is first encountered in the middle of the campaign.
Myko Hourglass
This is the Mykonian equivalent of a heavy helicopter and has modest energy reserves. Because it resembles two separate fuselages fused together by an energy link, it came to be known in Eastern Europe as the Hourglass, although it is also known as a Myko Schwer. The Hourglass first appears midway through the campaign.
Myko Air Stick
This rather odd vehicle moves slowly, and the peculiar popping noise it makes gives away its presence. Individually a Myko Stick can't inflict extensive damage, but grouped into a pack they create a lethal fighting force, similar to Fireflies and Yings. The Myko Stick appears toward the end of the campaign.
Myko Bomber
This fearsome Mykonian vehicle is used to destroy tanks and is the fastest bomber you will ever encounter. Because it is composed of three cubes joined by energy to form a circle, it is sometimes called the Pinwheel. The Bomber appears toward the end of the campaign.
Myko Radar
This unarmed unit serves the same purpose as the scout used by The Resistance. Although easy to destroy, the Radar's small size makes it difficult to notice. The Radar appears early in the campaign.
Buildings
Power Station
It has been discovered that Mykonian power stations can be conquered to fuel The Resistance Host Station. However, these usually exist in areas where the Mykonian bioveins are most dense, so they may appear to be camoflaged. Build or conquer a power station and beam your host station to it for optimal energy. Mykonian power stations are generally highly efficient.
Flak Station 1
Acts as a sentry tower. Excellent for defending power stations and your Host Station.
Flak Station 2
Serves as an upgraded flak station, with a longer and more powerful shooting range.
Radar Station
Similar to Resistance technology, these Mykonian radar stations peel back the fog of war by a 10- to 20-sector radius, depending on your technology upgrades.
